Life lately- Opening Day edition!

Forgot this in my last post, so thought I'd add it!

Mick and I were lucky to get tickets through his office to go to the Cardinals Opening Day game vs. the Brewers. I have never been before, so it was fun to be downtown (along with what seemed like the entire St. Louis community) and celebrate a Cardinals win. Here's a few pictures from that game!

Mick and I in our Cards gear!

Ran into these boys downtown!

Tracy and I at the game!
And one more random thing. I try to put notes on Savannah's lunch each Friday- though she's not old enough to read, I hope that someday when she is, she will appreciate these notes. My mom used to write them all the way through high school- and now I think it was so sweet of her to do that!

Life lately!

Two updates in less than a year- should be a record for me!

It's been a busy few weeks at the Metzger house! We have had a whirlwind of birthday parties, a few vacation days, and home repair projects to work on. But, the good news is that it has been a great opportunity to meet new people and reconnect with some that we haven't seen in a while.

A few weeks ago, Mick and I decided to take Friday off and try something new- to be a "tourist" in our own city. I'd like to think that there is a lot of fun things to do in St. Louis, and that we just don't take advantage of them. So I'm trying to do that more this summer.

So, we decided to borrow a tandem bike, and go ride on the Katy trail. Now, the Katy trail is super long- runs all the way from Kansas City to outside of St. Louis, so needless to say we rode a very short part of the Trail. Having never beeen on a tandem bike, I didn't know how it was going to go. Hoever, I'm happy to say that it was surprisingly easy once we got the hang of it. Plus, our neighbors enjoyed the circus show of us trying to learn how to ride it in the driveway. #yourewelcome

Anyway, here's a few pictures from that trip. We started in Defiance, MO and rode to Augusta and back- about 7 miles each way!

Heading off on the bike! Next time, we'll have matching outfits...

A scenic place for a picture!

Seriously, who knew that was in Missouri?

Augusta has more picturesque old houses and barns to take pictures in front of!

Wine at Montelle- check out that view!

Spending a day with my favorite!

Mick trying to look manly while drinking peach wine...not possible...
That weekend, the weather was gorgeous, so we spent most of our time outside. Check out my new lawn boy- is he not the cutest?!

Unfortunately, after spending so much time outside, we woke up on Monday moring to some pretty terrible allergies. Poor sweet guy...

This is my sweet boy later on that week. Needless to say, a visit to the doctor was in order!
The next weekend, we got to celebrate a very special first birthday- Baby Keegan! Or, as Noah calls him, "Baby Teegan". We are so lucky to have this little guy as a part of our family, and of course, as his Godmother, I feel especially blessed. I can't WAIT to see all of the trouble and craziness he and Noah will be once Keegan gets old enough to chase around after his cousins.

Not so sure of the cake...
NVM- Loving the cake!

Me and Baby Teegan!

The proud parents!

On Sunday, Savannah and Meemaw got to attend the special Fairy Tale Tea at the Magic House. Savannah had a great time meeting Cinderella and Prince Charming (though she liked Cinderella better), eating cookies and making her own crown.

We love Meemaw!
With her crown and her wand!

And finally, one more video of Noah. He's in the stage of doing everything himself, so everything we do for him is met with "No, let me!!" This video is a perfect example of that!

And finally, one more picture of these crazies. Life may not always be neat, or easy, but it sure is fun!

Weekend in Chi-town!

Wow, it's been a long time since I wrote on here. Sorry friends, I'll try to keep you more updated since the next few months should be exciting in our lives!

Let's jump right in! It's hard to believe, but my sweet Savannah is almost 4.5 years old, and what's even more amazing, baby Noah is almost 2.5 years old! Where did the time go!

Though two kids this close together can be a challenge, I often have glimpses of the best friends that they are going to be, and how much fun they have together. Often, that fun is had by doing things wrong together, but I'm sure that they will eventually channel that energy and use it for good, right? #hereshoping

This past weekend, Mom and I hopped on a plane and headed to Chicago for a girls weekend. We met Ally there and enjoyed a weekend of shopping, eating, and laughing with each other and Ally's other bridesmaids. We had a wonderful time shopping for bridesmaids dresses at Bella Bridesmaid, BHLDN, and Jenny Yoo.

Personally, I was most impressed with BHLDN. First of all, the store is GORGEOUS. From the decor, to the dresses, I was pretty smitten the moment I walked in the room. And the display of champagne and personal dressing salon certainly didn't hurt.

Here are some pictures from our great weekend. Love traveling and spending time with the women in my life, and I can't wait until Savannah is a little older and joins us on our girls weekends!

Mom and I when we missed our first flight to Chicago by 2 minutes. Ally thought it was an April Fools joke- sadly, we weren't joking...
Us after we made it to Chicago- 3 hours late, but hey, better late than never!

Ally and I at the new Restoration Hardware showroom. We had to wait an hour for a table, but the atmosphere couldn't be beat!

Mom's version of a cocktail at Restoration Hardware Cafe.

Could this place be any more beautiful??

Happy birthday to my sweet sister! I know that 28 is going to be amazing!

Ally got a selfie stick for her b-day, so Mom decided to try it out. Baby's first selfie- who is proud?!

These women are the most amazing to be around. Love spending time with them!
